◎ This case involves hard turning of transmission component end faces for high-volume production. The customer required longer tool life and higher productivity. Compared with the original solution, Worldia’s tool life increased by 40% and machining efficiency doubled, reducing tool change times and shortening machining cycle time.
◎ With 1.4 mm machining allowance, the original process required two passes. Worldia’s solution, tailored to the actual working conditions, uses PNH2016 grade with excellent high-temperature resistance, suitable for large-depth turning of carburized layers. The insert features chip-breaking non-standard edge geometry to enhance chip control while maintaining edge strength, delivering superior surface quality.
