Cubic boron nitride (CBN) is the second hardest material in the world, with a microhardness of HV8000–9000 for single crystals and HV2500–5000 for polycrystalline CBN (PCBN). It offers superior wear resistance compared to cemented carbide and ceramics. CBN is resistant to oxidation up to 1000 °C and remains chemically stable with ferrous materials at 1200–1300 °C, making it highly effective for dry cutting. PCBN tools are ideal for machining hardened steels, cast irons, and powder metallurgy components, enabling cost-efficient, high-quality, and environmentally friendly manufacturing.
MANANOVA is the name of Worldia’s standard stock-keeping product portfolio. It offers best-in-class, high-quality products for a wide range of common applications—at highly competitive prices. Each product is assigned an inventory code to simplify the ordering process.
The primary application areas for CBN cutting tools include hardened steels, cast irons, sintered irons, and powder metallurgy components. CBN products are selected based on customer-specific application requirements.
