Machining efficiency is one of the key levers for manufacturing enterprises to achieve cost reduction, efficiency improvement, lean manufacturing, and rapid market response, reflected in the following aspects:
Reduce production cost: Higher output per unit time lowers fixed cost allocated to each finished part;
Expand production capacity & delivery capacity: Produce more components within identical time to shorten lead time and speed up market response;
Strengthen enterprise competitiveness: Companies with higher efficiency win orders with lower cost and faster delivery under equivalent price & product quality;
Optimize resource utilization: High-efficiency machining cuts equipment idle time and raw material waiting duration, improves capital turnover to maximize value with limited resources;
Improve profitability: Lower cost and higher output directly drive profit growth;
Enable sustainable & lean manufacturing: Higher efficiency means less energy consumption and waste, facilitating green & lean production implementation.
Against the backdrop of rising raw material prices for cutting tools, Worldia has launched an economical superhard tool series to help customers cut production cost and realize high-efficiency machining while using premium cutting tools._03.jpg)
分析
◎ The customer aimed to improve both machining efficiency and tool life for continuous OD turning of Φ650 bearing ring with 0.6mm stock allowance. The original process needed three cutting passes, while Worldia’s inserts with high-toughness PNH1024 Insert Grade finish machining in one pass, lifting machining efficiency by 2 times and tool life by 66.7%.
◎ Compared with the original option, Worldia adopts D-type inserts for superior undercut turning. Larger nose radius enhances tip strength; customized insert geometry and non-standard edge design strengthen cutting edge. The CE coating improves high-temperature resistance of inserts to deliver longer service life while guaranteeing machining quality under large stock removal.
◎ Developed for varied workpiece features and actual working conditions, Worldia’s economical superhard insert line addresses customers’ demands amid climbing raw material prices. It extends insert service life, improves processing efficiency and reduces tool expenditure, optimizing machining solutions and lifting clients’ product competitiveness.
